Oh jeez… that took a while. Should be worth it though… WordPress seems like such a better blog option than Tumblr, especially while hiking.
So that’s why I got this. I’ll be attempting a thru hike of the P.C.T. (for all you PCT newbies – from Wikipedia: it’s short for Pacific Crest Trail and it’s a long-distance hiking and equestrian trail – 2,663 mi (4,286 km) long – closely aligned with the highest portion of the Sierra Nevada and Cascade mountain ranges, which lie 100 to 150 miles (160 to 240 km) east of the U.S. Pacific coast. The trail’s southern terminus is on the U.S. border with Mexico, and its northern terminus on the U.S.–Canada border order).
Honestly, I have no idea how I’m going to pull this off. I just made a list of things I need to get/do before I go in 2 months and it’s THREE pages of small items. And I’m sure I’ll be adding to it as I go along.
Even with my list-making, I really feel like I’m not planning much at all. From what I’ve gathered on blogs and the Facebook pages, every plan goes out the window as soon as you hit the trail anyway so why spend so much energy over planning, if that’s the case?
Welp, now that I’ve created this blog, I can check it off the list. YAY! I’ll keep my blog as up to date as possible with all my planning….. AAAAAHHHHHH, so much to do and so little time! I’ve been planning this for over a year now. Why am I not prepared???
