Put in my notice today! Bosses were surprisingly super sweet about it. I was actually a bit bummed they didn’t try to convince me to stay. A little ego bruise but that was soon washed away with the feeling of relief.
Still waiting on my entry into Canada permit. My mom threw $450 in my bank account so I have cell service (wasn’t going to have it otherwise).
Looking into Wilderness First Aid & CPR certification, signing up for REI topographic map reading & compass class, started on a thru-hike preparation exercise program from Anish (Yes, THE Anish. My personal hero) and getting last of the gear online. This all feels surreal. Am I really doing this?
Alls I know is that I won’t have this job for very much longer
. So why not hike instead?
