Oh, one last thing

I keep seeing (mostly on Facebook – on the PCT Class of 2015 page through generalities from people I just talked to in Mt Laguna, so no doubt they’re talking about me) and hearing comments telling me/people to “air my feet out” since I’ve been getting blisters and swollen feet.

Alls I have to say to these people are: “Sweeties, you have nooooo idea!! (Cyber finger wag).  I probably do that at least 4-5 times a day (so please shut the f@!k up!!)”. Blisters really aren’t the worst of it – just the swelling. I just read online from another female hiker who has the same issue and she goes 2.5 miles and then puts her feet up for 15-20 mins and then another 2.5 with another 15-20 min break until she’s done her day’s goal of miles. I’m going to try that and see how it goes.

Now I’m really off to bed. Had to talk to my bestie in Chicago before I could sleep but I did and it was fantastic so sweet dreams, world!! ❤️❤️❤️

  1. Just read through your recent posts. Sounds like such an amazing, TOUGH, Challenging, painful (your feet!), mental, fun, and beautiful time.

I hope your feet adjust better with your new shoes! I’m impressed you’re pushing on with blisters and swollen feet! It takes a lot of walk through pain. Maybe tomorrow will be better with the rest times you were talking about.

Keep on trekking Saina! Thinking of you!
